Strategic Approach
Youth in Traffic Initiative(Trafikte Gençlik Hareketi) was launched to help high-school-age young people reinterpret traffic culture with a focus on safety and share this culture with society, particularly with their peers. Built around the experiences and insights of young people, the project model aimed to help young people become individuals who develop solutions to traffic-related problems.
Social Impact Model
Carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, TÜVTÜRK, and Goodyear under the Traffic Responsibility Movement, the project developed an approach that contributes to raising a conscious generation — within the young age group where risky behavior is most common — that views traffic rules not as prohibitions but as individual responsibility.
Through a peer-education model, young people shared what they learned with their friends and, through the "Young Ideas in Traffic" competition, designed their own communication campaigns, creating a participatory structure. Through the campaigns they launched, young people reached more than 2 million people, creating broad public visibility for traffic safety.
This impact, which began with students, has extended into a broad stakeholder ecosystem that includes parents, teachers, and school bus drivers.
