Fadile Paksoy
Founder and Chair
Fadile Paksoy studied at Uludağ University’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and Marmara University’s Faculty of Communication, and deepened her academic background through acting training at Stüdyo Oyuncuları (Studio Players) and personal study in philosophy.
Since 1998, when the concept of “corporate social responsibility” was only just beginning to take institutional shape in Turkey, she has been among the figures shaping the design and implementation models of this field. Through the strategies she developed for organizations and the multi-stakeholder initiatives she managed, she helped social investment programs evolve into a structure that is integrated with corporate decision-making processes and produces measurable results.
With more than 25 years of experience, Paksoy has personally witnessed on the ground the transformation of corporate social responsibility and sustainability from “project-focused” approaches into a corporate management discipline grounded in social impact. In 2011, she channeled this experience into an institutional structure by founding Benchmark on the principle of “shared value.”
Paksoy shares her experience on national and international platforms as a speaker, mentor, and jury member, and also takes on active responsibilities in the civil society sector. In addition to serving as Chair of the Audit Board of the Private Sector Volunteers Association (ÖSGD) and as a member of the Advisory Board of the Green For Youth Association, she continues her work as a member of the Corporate Social Responsibility Association of Turkey (TKSD) and the Turkish Public Relations Association (TÜHİD).
Fadile Paksoy also shares her industry vision and field experience on academic platforms; through the courses she teaches at Marmara University’s Faculty of Communication, she offers young aspiring professionals a communication perspective centered on social impact. She also serves on the Advisory Boards of the Faculties of Communication at Marmara and Maltepe Universities, contributing to a stronger dialogue between academia and the dynamics of the industry. Paksoy shares her ideas with the public through her column in Brandmap Magazine and through collective books in which she is featured as a contributing author.
