Strategic Approach

The Traffic Safety Platform (Trafik Güvenliği Platformu, TGP), run by the Traffic Services Department of the General Directorate of Security, is a multi-stakeholder structure established in Turkey to contribute to the United Nations' "Decade of Action for Road Safety" (2010–2020) global target of reducing road deaths by 50%.

Bringing together representatives of public institutions, civil society, the private sector, and academia working in the field of traffic safety in Turkey, the Platform is positioned as a collaborative structure that strengthens coordination and knowledge sharing.

Through the program management and strategic communications consultancy provided to the multi-stakeholder platform, dialogue among institutions was strengthened and a collaborative approach — rather than competition — was promoted more widely.
