Strategic Approach

İyi Dersler Şoför Amca ("Have a Good Day, Mr. Driver") is a holistic capacity-building model designed to strengthen the safety culture in student transportation. The project aims to develop the knowledge and skills of school bus drivers in traffic safety, communication, and first aid.

Social Impact Model

Carried out under the coordination of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education, the Gendarmerie General Command, TÜVTÜRK, and Michelin, the project created a multi-stakeholder safety ecosystem covering drivers, students, teachers, and parents.

Through the training program developed within the project, school bus drivers received hands-on training in traffic safety, communicating with children, and first aid; through trainer-of-trainers programs, the initiative was sustainably scaled nationwide. Traffic safety training and awareness activities for students supported the early establishment of a culture of safe behavior.

Measurement and evaluation results showed a meaningful improvement in the awareness levels and sense of responsibility of both school bus drivers and students regarding safe behaviors.
